Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you place an order we collect what you type into the order form:

• Your name and email address
• The recipient's name and your relationship to them
• The occasion and your story, including any names or words you want in the song
• Your genre, mood, and language preferences

Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe shares the last four digits, the brand of card, and a payment confirmation token with us so we can match the payment to your order.

Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs that may include your IP address and browser type for short periods to operate and secure the site.

How we use it

• To create and deliver your custom song
• To email you order confirmations, the finished song, and follow-ups about revisions
• To answer questions you send us
• To meet legal and accounting obligations (we keep order and payment records for as long as tax law requires, typically up to 7 years)

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers or use it for advertising profiling.

Premium: publishing to streaming services

Premium is optional. If you choose it, you authorize us to publish your finished song to streaming platforms (such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music) through our music label, where it becomes publicly available and searchable. Songs are added in regular release batches, so it typically appears within a few weeks of delivery. You confirm that you have the right to share the details you submitted and to have the song released. Standard orders are private and are not published to streaming services. You can ask us to remove a Premium song from streaming at any time, and we'll request its takedown (platforms may take some time to process it).

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and fulfill orders:

• Stripe - processes your payment
• Resend - delivers our transactional emails to you
• Vercel - hosts the website and the API
• AI music tools - we use AI-assisted music production. To generate lyrics and audio, the story and details you submit may be processed through third-party AI services. We don't share your name or email with those services unless you put them in the story field.
• Music distributor - for Premium orders only, we use a distribution partner (such as DistroKid) to publish your song to streaming services.

Each of these providers handles your data only to perform the service we've hired them for, under their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

We keep your order details and the finished song for as long as you might reasonably need them (so we can re-send a lost file, or honor a revision request) and for the period required by tax and accounting rules. You can ask us to delete your story content earlier. See below.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can reach us by replying to your order confirmation email or by DM'ing us on Instagram at @singmethis.app to:

• Get a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your account information (we'll keep the minimum payment record needed for tax purposes)

If you're in the EU/UK, the GDPR gives you these rights; if you're in California, the CCPA does. We'll honor them regardless of where you live.

Cookies & tracking

We don't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. Stripe sets cookies on its own checkout page to process payments and prevent fraud, which you'll only encounter when you click through to pay.

Children

SingMeThis isn't intended for anyone under 13. If you think we've received information from a child under 13, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email if you've placed an order with us.
